Before reserving your newborn photoshoot with us, here’s what you need to know:
When should I schedule a newborn photo session?
Reserve your newborn session at least 2-3 months before your baby is due. This way, you’re guaranteed a spot after your baby arrives.
All newborn session reservations are based on baby’s due date and actual session date and time are adjusted after your baby is born. When you reserve a session with us, we block out a set of dates (+/- 2 weeks) surrounding your baby’s due date. This way, we’ll always have the time to photograph your baby when he/she arrives.
How soon should I schedule a newborn photography session?
Sessions are usually reserved at the beginning of the third trimester. The actual session date is adjusted after the baby is born and it’s usually on a Saturday which falls between 5 to 14 days after birth.
When is the best time to have newborn photos taken?
We recommend newborns be photographed between 5 to 14 days old. This is the optimum period to pose and photograph the baby as they will stay asleep longer and are not as sensitive to touch when repositioned for subsequent posing.
What should I expect during my newborn session?
During the 2-3 hour session, your baby will be carefully wrapped, posed, and photographed in our clean and warm session area while you sit back and enjoy the session a few feet away. The session time allows for flexibility so that your baby may be fed and changed to remain as comfortable as possible.
My baby’s already here. Is it too late to book a newborn photoshoot?
If it happens that your baby is already here and you just didn’t have the time to reserve a session earlier, no worries! We try our best to accommodate last-minute session requests.
How long does a newborn photo session take?
All our newborn photo sessions are 2-3 hours long. This allows for the baby to be fed and changed as needed, ensuring no session is rushed for the safety of your baby.
Where do newborn photo sessions take place?
Shoots are held at our studio, and we no longer offer in home sessions. All props, session styling, and our talent is included with your session fee. You’re also welcome to bring some props if you’d like. Just let us know at your pre-session consultation.
How do I get my pictures after my session?
Within 2 to 3 weeks after your session, we’ll email you a link to a private online gallery, where you can view the carefully curated photos. From this gallery, you will have the option of choosing your portraits for purchase and ordering prints and other specialty items.
As our gift to you for trusting us to capture your family’s greatest moments of joy, you’ll have the opportunity to share this gallery with family and friends at no additional cost.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards through our secure online payment system, powered by Stripe. Whether you’re paying your session fee or setting up a payment plan for your artwork package, the process is simple, seamless, and safe.
Do you offer payment plans for newborn sessions?
Yes, we do! While the session fee is due in full at least one week prior to session date, all investment packages are eligible for custom, interest-free payment plans. We’ll work with you to create a payment schedule that fits your needs—because preserving these moments shouldn’t come with stress.

During your Zoom or over the phone appointment, you’ll learn more about what to expect before, during and after your session with us. You may also talk to us about any of your concerns. If you decide to book a session with us, we will send over the reservation email.
Book Your Session*
Once we receive your session retainer, we’ll “pencil in” 2 Saturdays before and 2 Saturdays after your baby’s due date for your photo session. This will ensure your baby has a photo shoot regardless if he/she arrives early or late.
